I know the table, must have gotten there before me as I saw only round rec 91/30s. Nice guy too. I am up to 5 Mosins now, and Big Jim remembers my entire full name...
But my Bulgy 74 kit will be #4, and the LEGP will be #5. |

I stood right beside you when you examined and bought that Mosin; I was the serious-looking bearded guy with the EG Raindrop shoulderbag looking at the other rifles on the table. The one that you bought does have very attractive grain in the stock that the refinishing highlighted. I kept passing you for the next hour and almost asked to look at it just for curiosity for the mfr and date, but that info's in your post, thanks. Refinished milsurps don't float my boat but the stock on yours is quite attractive as I said. Good luck with it. Noah PS: Show did suck, didn't it? |

noah...sorry, i don't remember seeing you. the gleam from that re-arsenal'd octagonal receiver must have had my eye! lol!
next time you see me, please introduce yourself (again). it would be my pleasure! man, 20 guys must have asked if i was selling it. for some reason, the summit show has gone downhill. the location is close to me, the building is one of the nicest ones i've ever been to a gunshow in...i can't figure out why both vendors and buyers are staying away from it. oh well, maybe medina will be better. |

I thought about going on a craze Mil-surp buying spree and picking up 6-7 Mosins. But then I thought better of it.

why not?
ammo is dirt cheap. the rifles are dirt cheap. the quality of the ammo and rifles has never been higher and the prices have never been lower. one of our local sporting goods stores ran a sale on m-n m-44 carbines the day after thanksgiving...only $39! and best of all, it's fun blasting all those mausers, speingfields, mosins and enfiefds. i do draw the line at anything made in france, though! lol! |
