Finally got the hardware I needed to install these wood grips on my AMD-65. Definitely looks better than the plastic ones that came on it originally IMHO.

Finished my MAK90 conversion last night. Chopped barrel to 13.7", threaded and perm-attached Warcomp. Barrel length is now 16.25". I also added a Kalinka Optics side rail, AKT-EL trigger, Sureshot Armament BIT mount, LAC adjustable gas block, Sureshot Armament Mk1 handguard, Kreb's safety, blued the bolt carrier (working on a custom charging handle extension now), and replaced all the springs with ALG. Going out tomorrow to retune the gas system since I removed the gas block to install the handguards/do the barrel chop. Waiting on a Modbutton Lite, a direct-MLOK light mount, a forward sling mount, and a hand stop. I also need to stipple the pistol grip and I may add some grip tape to the handguard itself.

SLR Rifleworks 10.5 MLOK ION rail and railed gas tube should arrive before the end of the week and also picked up an AK Master Mount as well. So far, so good. Plan to run a few mags through her before Monday.

"Romanian Khyber Pass" build by CW Gunwerks, Miami , FL
Came out great. Properly done with the side folder reinforcement plate and a great BFPU clear coated finish. The stock closes perfectly and is solid when extended. Tight mf’er. threw the old school slant break on it. I got a JL billet long rail, wood upper handguard and a US palms orange pistol grip coming but until then I wanted to show off that banana clip.

Has a QD location on both sides (though I added one further down the rail). It's very slim and doesn't add any weight really. It comes with an upper handguard rail (Mlok sides with picatinny top rail). It does require some minor modifications (depending on Ak) for the upper rail to fit tight. I really like the upper handguard, but wanted to go a different direction with adding the old school wood upper. It didn't come with any instructions, but there is a YouTube video on installing it. |
