I want to mount an aimpoint on my Mak-90. It is a chinese norinko Mak-90 Stamped if that matters.

I am not looking to spend alot of the mount, just something that will hold zero, and I would perfer to keep my furniture if I can.

Does yours have a side rail?
If so the BP-02 Belarussian mount for about $40 and a weaver-type low ring for about $20.

Nope it has no rails at all, i have looked at the malkiv or something or other and its way too much at $200+

$90 Ultimak.

The $40 TDI upper handguard is good (file to fit the long rear tabs to keep it from twisting relative to the lower) but ONLY if the gas tube itself is rock solid (most move a hair).

Now you could have a side rail added to the gun, but that is a perm change to the gun.

A bonus to the Ultimak is that nothing sets the Aimpoint lower, for minimal arc between bbl and dot to work out at varied yardages and the possibility to see irons thru the lower portion of the tube.

I once had a dust cover mount, sold it for $5 shipped, otherwise was going to use it for stirring paint.

what rs39 said. plus, my aimpoint/ultimak combo co-witnesses with the iron sights.

+2 on the UltiMAK & Aimpoint… use the Aimpoint “10818 Extra Wide 30mm Picatinny Ring” if you want to co-witness.

Well I guess I will go with the ultimak seems to be the best option, I just hate to loose my beutiful handguards..... I spent alot of time refinishing them :)

No side rail mount I've ever seen would allow ANY kind of co-witnessing… some do allow you to see your iron sights under or through the mount though, but that isn't co-witnessing of course.
