Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Pilad brand of Russian red dots?

I see you can get Russian made red dot sights, "Pilad" brand, at modest prices on eBay.  For example, the 1x42mm red dot with 3 reticle settings is around $140 delivered to the U.S.
Does anyone know anything about these?  They *look* very solidly built.. and Russia in general has made good glass in the past.  

Tempted to get one to try instead of Chinese made cheapies.

I was wondering about these too when I discovered these while searching other Russian optics. What I like about the Pilad reflex sights is that they have the crosshairs that are more traditional to the Kobra reflex sights. If anyone has other info on this let us know.
