Yep, Tantal has them, around $85 if I recall.

Only for these "new" ribbed synthetic 30rd mags....http://tantal.kalashnikov.guns.ru/media2/103mag_newpg.jpg

I'm looking for the smooth ones as they are more authentic for my project of 1990's early AK-104, and AK-103

not to mention cheaper...

But Thank You much!
I did forget for a bit there that doug has those...

Those aren't cheap huh? LOL

www.rusmilitary.com in England has them. Some already converted to AK47 standard as well.

The ribbed versions are correct for the early 90s, smooth ones are the current version.

WTF

I was told by Doug / Tantal and everyone else the opposite.....

hmmm

well a combo of all of the above should work as "realistic" huh?

edit-oh yeah. Oleg is out until end of  DEC 2005 on those...-edit

That makes no sense... The Ribbed mags were the versions that came in earlier... The smooth sided ones are the ones that being produced by the factory right now..

That's what I'm saying....it's confusing me. And I thought I understood. But hell. I thought it went from plum smooth sythetics, to black synthetics with the number "1" on lower left side. Then on to  "2" mags on lower left side that also had "7.62x39" on the upper left side. And finally to Ribbed synthetics. which I have only seen in single photos of new AK-104's in my books.

I have the two types of black smooth Izhmash mags. Both "1" & "2" style. Guess I should get a couple of ribbed.

Any Tula, or plum 7.62x39 to be had?

The AK104 photos (same basic pics of the same basic gun which was a prototype/first production model) are old and outdated...

Modern 104s use the smooth mags..

One thing to remember is that the 30rd Saiga and 30rd 103/104 mags are different..

Yes.

But since my AK-104 clone is on a Saiga receiver.....

perfect.

and they look the same.

So what is the difference, if any, between the two types of Saiga Izhmash mags that I have?

Link Posted: 11/20/2005 10:25:40 PM EDT
[#13]
Sure the other one is Russian? Looks Polish to me..

All the plastic Russian mags I have seen have the white ink stamp.

Link Posted: 11/22/2005 1:42:06 PM EDT
[#14]
These are both Russian Izhmash 30rd mags........the mag with "7.62x39" on it has the white square "4" stamp on the other/right side.....

I only attached 1, or 2 pics.

What is a going "ridiculous" price these days?
Link Posted: 11/23/2005 6:13:31 PM EDT
[#16]
If you mean the ones above pictured in the case. I've paid 50.00 a pop. in the last few days. I am willing to trade for them as well.

I guess I would have to hear what you wanted. I'm willing to entertain. I need a few more.

If it's the ribbed izhmash mags.....85.00 is the only ticket in town from Tantal.

They are sort of hard to find these days.   Mine are smooth sided and have the "4" on the top left -hand side and a "1" on the bottom lefthand side.  No 7.62x39 markings at all.  It's sort of hard to believe how much they go up in value.  Afterall, I thought $35 a piece+ shipping  was ridiculous.

BTW, why did EAA stop selling them so quickly after they just started to import them? (Did they sell out?)  I never figured that one out.   Looking at it in hind sight, I should of bought a mess of them.
Link Posted: 11/24/2005 6:04:06 AM EDT
[#18]
I hear you. EAA said they stopped because in their words..."We shouldn't have imported "military" style magazines for this "sporting" firearm..............

Funniest part is they stopped importing 30rds right after September 2004....

Should have been the opposite...LOL

If you would like to make a few bucks off me. Let me know. pm me.

Thanks

He is the authorized Izhmash importer for the UK.. If anyone can get them, he can.

I can get them here in Germany, but the Germans want so much for them (retail) that by the time I turn a profit, they would be about $120-150.

You must be talking AK-47 mags modded for Saiga's. Not what I'm asking about.

I check GunBroker, and AuctionArms seriously at least 10 times a day. Multiple searches. Key words. If there was one on there. I'd know. And as far as that goes....

You.... And anyone else that can find one on GunBroker that isn't over 99.00, and from Andrei/Ruseller/AndyArts....

You get 10.00 just for telling me. A Finders Fee.....Deal?

oh yeah....... and I'm not talking about modded AK mags thanks anyways. I'm talking Izhmash...heres a pic.

DUDE... I've got Polish polymer mags that look EXACTLY like the ones you show, so Ill sell you them for $100 each. No, I am a real asshole, so I will sell them to you for $80 each if you buy two!

Act now!

LOL come on man, looks can be decieving. For all I know steel ones were imported before polymer ones.

Anyway, the best I have found so far is 6 10 round mags for $60.

Yeah I was just being a wise ass.

Sorry, the ones I saw are all moded. The only real one is over $100. I saw a polymer Saiga mag at the last gunshow for $40, should I buy it and sell it on here?
