Are these magazines "mil-spec" or made specifically for the commercial market?
Link Posted: 12/10/2011 1:04:26 PM EDT

Those 40 round clear magazines are commercially made in Bulgaria and have no steel reinforcement, but they do function reliably as range mags.  Just don't expect them to take much abuse.

I've bought a bunch of the "very-good" whatacountry plums and they have all been absolutely new and perfect. Highly recommended.

RGun's $25 Bulgarian 74 mags have been a mixture of new Circle 10's and 21's.

Some of them were slightly dented.  I don't think its enough to affect functionality though.  The main problem is how cosmolined up they are.  Expect a big cleaning day ahead to make them ready to use.  I doubt I would buy them again for that reason.

FWIW, I've never seen them recommended as anything more than a 922-compliant range mag.

I've got a dozen of them. Not as good as a PMag for the AR's but I like them better than the Promag or USPalm mags. Over 3000rds through them with no failures yet. So yeah, they are decent.

I found these from Classic Arms. Eastern Block for $12.50 each. Ordered 10 and just got them last night pulled them all apart. Of the ten:
4 were like new unused condition, perfect blueing
4 were 90% with very little use very good condition
1 had a rust spot between the mag and the mag wall (Quick coca cola soaking will fix)
1 had the floor plate missing the the mag squished on the sides to hold the plate and spring in.

Called Classic this morning and the woman on the other end was quick to ok sending out a replacement and took my order for 10 more. I was debating on ordering new mags from Ammotogo but at $187 for them before shipping vs what I got from Classic Arms ($142 to my door with shipping) I decided to go with Classic Arms again for 10more.
