Several years back I bought some 7.62x39 ammo that contained 6 boxes of I beleive 20 rounds per box.  These 6 boxes were wrapped up in a waterproof package that was white/beige.  I was told that they were called battle packs.

Does anyone know where or if these can be found anylonger?

Waxy paper with sealed seams? Klimovsk (sp?) Stamping Plant ammo. I still have some but it is not at area shows any more. Their production can be found in some Silver Bear or Brown Bear branded ammo if you read the cases for the plant logo and name in the smaller print.
See results in the tacked ammo test above.

Sounds like South African ammo.  It has all but dried up long ago. Your best bet is to look for it in small lots at gun shows.
