Sounds like a 380 Round Tin of Romanian 8mm Mauser.

Does it look like this?

Actually if its a Galvanized can and it says GL it is probably Brass Cased Lead Core from the 50's. But I'd say it is still Romanian.

Well the writing appears to coincide but the can, my can, looks chinese. rather than romanian,
So what can i get for it ?  i have no need for 8mm.

BTW,...Thank you for the info, i really did not want to open it unless it was 308.

I have seen surplus 8mm running around 50 Cents per round, so I'd say $175-$200 for that can.

Im 99% certain it's brass cased maybe making it worth a slight premium to some people.

8mm used to be super cheap about 15 years ago as the Turks and Yugoslavians purged all of their old inventories. Cans like that could be bought for $29-$39 each.

It's crazy how high 8mm has gotten, but those of us around for those 8mm "Salad Days" stacked it deep and can shoot for pennies per round while others today look for scraps.
