I bought some of this stuff in the nineties and found it in the garage cleaning out ammo cans. This was back when the Chinese ammo disappeared overnight after the Clinton ban. Is this the stuff??

I found a good home for 76 of these.
 Attached FileI used a tack to check the inside of the hollow point and could feel large ridges. I can't wait for some milk jug explosion tests. |

I want to stress that some other Russian hollow point has cuts in the nose that look similar but don't fragment.

I fired 100 rounds of the Tula 8M3 out of my Chinese SKS today and was having weird accuracy issues at both 50 and 100 yds. Groups seemed unusually large. I had one round fail to fire and when I ejected it I saw this...
The tip looks like it has a bit sliced right off. Can someone compare the length of these to other 7.62x39 rounds and see how the overall length is? |
