Has anyone used or thought about using pop rivets to assemble the barrel trunion to the receiver?  I'm not talking about the aluminum pop rivets at Home Depot but the stainless steel "Cherry Q" rivets available through Hanson.

http://www.hansonrivet.com/w30.htm

Some have over 1000 lb. shear and tensile strength.I do not know how the tensile or shear strength of solid rivets, but the pop rivets  must be at least as strong as the drive screws some people are using.

I obviously don't know what I am doing, so please offer any input  before I hurt myself.

you can build it how it should be built with almost no tools
hammer vise punchs drill anglegrinder boltcutters and some scrap metal
