I couldn't find anything about this question either.

Can a Tapco style flat be used to build up a Yugo parts kit with a Yugo front trunnion?

I know there are Yugo 80% blanks out there specifically for Yugo part kits, however I would like to use what I have.

I found this pic off another website, but short of grinding down the raised portions, I can't figure out how this guy did it.

Any ideas?

It looks too tight to just be wedged on there.

some of the yugo rifles had AKM style trunnions, and I'm betting that's what that guy had.

anyway you CAN use a tapco flat, but it will take some creative cutting and welding to make it work with the yugo RPK style trunnion.

Anyone who has done the creative cutting and welding care to post some pics?
