I posted this over on the Valmet/ Galil page, but not much response. Those of you that are familiar with the Valmet stamped receiver profile- how do you think the "flat" (if that is what they start out as) looks before forming. I am just curious.

Receiver flats are pretty much a American concept.. They are mostly cut form flat steel, and have the mag well dimples pressed in..

Tru European made receivers start from blank steel, and are pressed thru a series of really expensive stamping dies..
