Just out of curiosity, what does a vented gas tube do? I notice Chinese have them, but most others don't. What's the story? Thanks.

I have 1 on my Polish UF with a usa 74 brake. It does seem to make a big difference in recoil. I also have a fixed stock Yugo and the recoil is much more noticable. Somewhere I read that the vents are at their best during FA. Alittle less back pressure while cycling. I will probably add the vents to my Yugo.

Milled Yugo M70's have vented gas tubes.  Lots of unloved milled kits around for sale lately.

Drop-in fit if you swap the tubes.
