Do i have to cut the barrel down and thread it? How hard is that? I would need a rear pistol trunion too right?

Thanks

If I were you, I would try to pick up a cheap yugo kit with a dark bore and cut that down. Don't have to worry about chipping the chrome lining, plus it isn't going to be a long range gun anyway, so who cares about a dark bore with little rifling. I wouldn't worry about a pistol trunion either if you can weld, Just make one out of some scrap metal laying around the shop. I was wanting to get one of those dark bore kits, cut the barrel REALLY short, basically I wanted to take the gas piston and cut the shaft off of it, and weld the piston head onto the threaded stud. You are going to have to turn down the barrel if you are going to move the gas block back, and rethread and crown the muzzle. It would be alot of work, but I think it would be a fun project to work on.
