I'm building my first one with a Romy kit. On the rear of the cut receiver is the part that is theaded for the buttstock bolt. There is a spring-loaded pin back there that has a slot on one end. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how this puppy comes off! Any advice is appreciated.

I was wrong...again. Its a Yugo fixed stock model, not a Romy...wrong parts kit! Anyway, I'll have to grab a picture later, cause I don't want the wife asking me questions about a gun she doesn't know about yet!

if you are talking about the button that pushes in from right to left, it is secured by a split type screw head. It is lightly staked into the pin as well. I dremeled the middle out of a screwdriver until it fit, held the button end (right side holding the rifle) in my vice, and unscrewed it...the screw is lightly staked, but the screwdriver turned it and it came right out....consists of the pin, the spring and the screw. No problem
