I'm also in the albany area (salem, corvallis) as well as theres a couple other members in the oregon area, 69veewee and socandyman post here often. I'm going to be building a kit or two here within a couple of months, so I'm sure we could swap info.

That'd be nice.

I was able to get my kits demilled, and the barrels pressed out on my own. All I'd need help with is the riveting of a predrilled receiver, and to press a barrel back in.

I don't know how soon I could start my builds as I'm still sinking money into kits that I would like to build. But perhaps sometime in february we could all meet up and do builds. I mainly need tools to do the job and don't want to buy them as I'm only going to do a couple of builds and would rather rent the tooling.

I just used a borrowed 8 1/2 ton press to remove the barrel from the kit. I could borrow it again and a side grinder. Need a rivet tool and?

I live in Corvallis, and put my AMD together mostly in the garage. I do want to re-reciever it as the one I used was slightly tweaked.

I just got the HF 18" bolt cutters to try and fab a rivet squeezer. Then got home to find out the 24" are on sale for a dollar less(8.99).

Rivet squeezers work OK, need better dimpled bar for the rivet heads.
Need some way to fix rivets that came out sub par.

if the rivets came out bad about only shoice you have it to remove them and try again :)

I live in Salem and a buddy of mine and myself are getting ready to start our first builds, would be happy to get together with some other people and do some building. I've got a drill press and some other tools. Maybe if we all got together we could scrounge together enough tools to do our builds.
