OK, for an AMD-65 Kit.

As for parts count I was thinking 2 pistol grips would be considered two parts but I dont think so because then they would also count for two "evil" features making them an illegal assult weapon. With this reasoning then the 2 trunions only count as 1 part also.

Why doesn't the AK trigger gaurd count? Or is the trigger gaurd something else in a different gun which in not on the AK? Anything I'm missing? Looks like you have to replace 7 parts.

There is no barrel extension.

Actually, fac sells one to bring the amd-65 out to a legal 16 inches.

Just a guess but probably the same reason that springs and all the other little do dads dont because they are not on the ATF s list .Trigger housings are but a AK doesnt have a trigger housing.
