I am considering building a Polish AK with an underfolding stock...

I understand it must be locked open to satisfy the AW ban...however, in the event the ban is allowed to sunset, I want to be able to "unlock" the folding stock.

What are some acceptable ways to do this, so the "permanency" of the modification can be undone.

Any ideas on a builder who can assemble this for me?

Most gunsmiths want to drill thru the receiver, and into the trunnion, and install a pin. I welded a small "bump" on the arm at the junction where it folded under. result? it doesn't fold, but can be ground off with a dremel when the AW ban sunsets. quick and simple(to reverse)

Replace the spring under the folder "button" with a piece of round stock.
It must be drilled for the two pins to pass through.
