I was looking at the military qualified products database (http://qpldocs.dla.mil/) for MIL-PRF-63460 qualified CLP. I noticed that a fairly new product, Radcolube CLP (http://www.radcoind.com/) is on the list. Their CLP is available on amazon and ebay. Price is $20 for a 16 oz bottle or $79.80 for a gallon which is slightly less than Breakfree CLP and a whole lot less than G96. Anyway, I bought the smaller 4 oz bottle ($10) to test.  Here are my impressions:

The product has a very low odor just like the current version of Breakfree CLP. I used it indoors with no issues and it smells almost the same. I cleaned and lubed my AR with it and did not notice anything unusual. I did a quick compatibility test by mixing a few ml. of Radco CLP and Breakfree CLP in a dish and left it  in the garage for 1 week. The high temp in there has been in the low 100F range. After a week, the mixture still looked and behaved like normal CLP - so I'm not worried about mixing the two.

Anyway, its good to know that there are inexpensive MIL-PRF-63460 CLP's out there. Hopefully, they can stay in the QP database. Its easy to get dropped if a company waits too long to requalify their product when the spec. is updated - QuickenCLP is off the list and so was Breakfree CLP for many years until recently.

How did it clean compared to Breakfree?  Do you have any experience using G96 CLP?  Can you compare it to that?

I don't have any experience with G96. I've been using Breakfree CLP since the early days when it had teflon that would settle out to the present.
I didn't notice any difference in cleaning between Radcolube and Breakfree since my AR was relatively clean to start with (only 80 rounds fired).
Theoretically, Radcolube should clean better since I believe all the current mil-spec CLP's have more solvent than the 5% solvent in the current
non mil-spec formulation of Breakfree CLP.

Thank you for the head's-up.  I had not even heard of the stuff before I read your post.  All of my ARs are commercial (S&W, Ruger, Etc.) and their manuals all say to clean with a "high quality solvent" followed by a "high quality firearms oil", so that's all I've been doing.

I can't speak for the ones I bought recently for my sons, but the ones I bought in the 1970's and 1980's are still running fine.

I know a former SF gun builder near me that swears by this other stuff. I think there were some other DEVGRU guys using it as well. Don't think it's in the database yet, but it would be interesting to see what you think of it.  http://sconixoutdoors.com/shooting.html

Good grief Another "Navy seal Swat Space shuttle door gunner delta 795" endorsed bio lube that is probably just a rebranded cooking grease

I second the flag

The Safety Data Sheet of Sconix's "Shooter's Gold Oil" says that a synonym for the product is "seed oil-based lubricants" so Shooter's Gold could be Canola Oil or Sunflower seed oil :)
Its $8.95 per 0.5 oz!

I purchased a bottle of Radcolube CLP off of ebay. So far I am impressed. I have a block of steel that I coated one side in BF CLP and the other in radco. The Breakfree seemed to run more under gravity than Radco did. Also the Radcolube shows brush-marks after 5 days, basically it hasn't migrated from where it was applied. Thanks for the heads up with this oil.

No problem!  I've been using Radco instead of my usual Breakfree CLP and it seems to clean carbon a little easier than Breakfree - perhaps because it has more solvent.
Also, the mixture of Breakfree CLP and Radcolube CLP has been sitting in my garage for about 3 weeks now and there have no changes, so I'm very confident there won't be any problems if they get mixed when cleaning and lubing a gun.
