I'm looking at building a nice tool set for my AR-15 maintenance tasks. Right now, I'm needing a wrench to remove my CAR stock to add a Noveske Receiver End plate

Any suggestions?

I use the GI spanner wrench for that.  Works fine.

I have another multi-tool wrench that has a three tooth spanner for the castle nut, but it doesn't fit and likes to slip.
