Leave carbon build up alone.

That's crazy! I can't sleep at night with Carbon left in my gun!

I listened to the "It's self regulating" line of reasoning. Then when I cleaned the tail of my bolt I found pitting. Seems the "self limiting" carbon was holding moisture. From now on, I'll be scraping the carbon off, thank you.

So I wonder WHO prctices this way of Thinking?

I use lots of CLP/Brake Cleaner and tooth brush!

I keep telling everyone here to try MD Labs XF-7 lube and you'll never have carbon build up again. It literally wipes off.

Take a look: www. mdtactical.com Look for the XF-7 link and read the technical data and how this stufff has been tested in the real world.

I have an LMT MRP upper with 3500 rounds on it with no malfunctions, virtually no wear, and no carbon anywhere to be found.

Try it, and no Im not associated with the vendor in any way.
