Got one a couple of months ago for my AR15, and it works great. And it is reasonably priced.

is there something wrong with my GI rod and brush? they do a great job or so it seems.

The Chamber Maid is a vast improvement over the GI rod. Try Chamber Maid and you will see the GI rod is a pain compared to the Chamber Maid, for one thing you cannot use the T handle on the GI rod as it spins. Time marches on and technology makes jobs easier.

This looks pretty neat! I have one question though, from the picture I cant estimate the size off the .223 version from your pic of the 50 cal version. My question is, can I fit this in the butt chamber?

Yes, broken down it The Chamber Maid will easily fit into the cleaning kit compartment of the AR15/M16.

TO ANSWER AND EARLIER EMAIL, THE CHAMBER MAID IS NOT WHIMPY LIKE SOME OTHER MFGS CHAMBER CLEANER. IT COSTS SLIGHTLY MORE BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH MORE DURABLE.

Quoted: ...the GI rod is a pain compared to the Chamber Maid, for one thing you cannot use the T handle on the GI rod as it spins. huh? i'm sorry, but if you snap the T-handle down onto the flat section of the rod... and then pput a section of rod thru the hole in the handle it doesn't spin.... still a relative "pain" to use tho. it won't fit in the stock with a GI kit, unless you have a CavArms C1 stock. |

Yeah, I have cleaned tons of 16's exactly as you describe. With the Chamber Maid you can darn near be done before you finish screwing with the GI kit.
The Chamber Maid will not fit in the stock in addition to the GI kit but if you choose wisely, ie, bore snake, chamber maid etc. you can get a pretty darn good kit into the butt of a 16. Denny |

Hey Mr. Denny, if you buy one complete chamber maid, can you just buy different cal brushes and use the handle to cover all the other cal?
