[ARCHIVED THREAD] - New build 14.5 inch build. It is complete.

I have the black rifle disease

JL billet upper and lower
Rainier night rail
BA 14.5 mid length barrel
Geissele SD-E trigger
VG6 Gamma 556ex pinned and welded by ADCO

Other parts to be determined.

I’m thinking about having this one cerakoted some grey color.

I do.. AndroCorpInd did a great job on my receivers and handguards for a really great price. @jwill242004 offers a very nice discount for ARFCOM.

ETA: Not Tungsten Gray, but a custom bronze:

What Rail & Barrel is that? Looks like Battle Arms Barrel but never seen that Rail. I like how it a perfect match for the Battle Arms Receiver.

That is a BAD LightSaber Ultra Match 10.5" Barrel.

That is a SLR 9.7" Helix rail. It took a lot of research to get that match. I have to tell you that George and Jay over at BAD were extremely helpful discussing what rails would be a good match - of course they recommended Fortis, but agreed that the Helix rail would look awesome with their receivers. Did you know that SLR is like a few blocks from AndroCorp in Winter Garden, FL? Jason was the guy that was custom coating SLR products when SLR offered it. Last I heard, he's still recommended by SLR, and you can send the parts from SLR over to Jason directly.

What do you think about that MFT stock? It’s either that or a CTR.

I bought it because I wanted to go as light as I could yet have an adjustable stock, mainly for my wife. But after shooting it, I've replaced all the stocks on my carbines with MFT minimalist stocks. Love them, but kind of hard to use a rear bag off the bench when zeroing your sights/optics.

I do it myself. Have done 6 rifles and a few handguns.

It's all about PREP and making sure the paint layers are perfect.

I shipped off the upper, lower, and rail.

I got the upper, lower, and rail back from Andro Corp today. They did a great job on the Cerakote. I will probably be sending them two more to Cerakote.

I just got it all put together. I’m not sure which stock I’ll stick with.

Awesome looking rifle!

If you don't mind my asking, what did Androcorp charge for the Cerakote for the Upper, Lower, and Rail?

I can't believe how fast the turn-a-round time was. Something like less than 2 weeks! Wow! Very nice!

$150. And they shipped it back for free.

I don't know if that is the Arfcom discount or not. Or if there is one.

But I'm happy with it and will be sending more stuff their way.
