Hey starting on a build and wanted to ask a few questions.

On every previous build I have done, I always buy a LPK then buy the upgrades separately (trigger, safety, grip, stock, etc).  Looking at something like DPMS and PSA LPK and they are relatively low in cost.

Is there a better option? Such as a LPK that doesn't come with these parts or purchasing all springs, pins, etc separately and picking it the upgrades I want?

Thanks in advanced!

I bought one here on the EE for $30 and I think it may be CMMG NOS.  I previously bought a Strike Ind kit for spare parts for around $50 and I was surprised at the high quality (even changed out my selector unnecessarily because it was so much better).

I agree with the CMMG kits.
they're pretty solid kits.. I've also used their triggers as I've had good results from them..

You check out brownells or numrich and buy each part individually.

You're looking for a builders kit. The S&W one you found is good as are the CMMG kits.

Midway has them from time to time for $20-30.

I build my own LPKs at White Oak Armament, but then if I need one or two random lower parts, AR15.com has individual lower parts and decent shipping prices.

THIS Used these for over a year now - fit is fine and have not had a missing part in over a dozen kits - can't say that for that S.C.company -  Trigger is heavy but smooths out well - Free shipping too... Can't beat it...

It depends if the OP wants LPK without fire control components. You can shave a LOT of prices off of that if you omit the fire control. But if you had to buy them separately it will come out more expensive than if you had bought a complete LPK. The no fire control kit is really for someone who is going to spend 200 dollars on a custom trigger.

PSA LPK minus the trigger from Schuyler for $21.

If you just want the detente and springs, get them from White Oak Armament.
