I finished up a new build today. I've been wanting to try Tungsten cerakote for awhile so I decided to give it a go on this build. The parts list for this build was -
Tactical Innovations lower Seekins Billet upper Rguns NIb BCG Spikes Enhanced trigger Magpul Miad grip Magpul CTR stock MI rail Battlecomp FH PSA 1/7 16" barrel mid length gas BCM gas black Various other small parts Tungsten cerakote by me Here's the build pics-

Looks pretty sweet. Great choice on using the billet upper and lower with the Tungsten coating.

Very nice build. I really dig the color and bet it would look sharp with Magpul's new stealth gray furniture.

That is cool. I have a TI lower and your same guards in 10". I may have to look into this. There are some Special Forces guys around here who do coating. Very nice!!!

Is that just standard cerakote and tungsten is the color? How does cerakote rank as far as receiver finishes? Above or below NP3?

Did you media blast the parts first? Did you remove the anodizing or just rough it up?

Nice stick! Good color choice. I did a couple Glock slides in Tungsten Gray and they came out pretty sweet. I like it better then the Burnt Bronze that I go through like water.

In the photos, the Tungsten looks a bit like nickel boron coating by Failzero. REALLY NICE job... great color combination and nicely done.

That Tungsten is one of the nicest looking rifles I've seen. I wouldn't want to shoot it. Just mount it on the wall and stare at it.

I have a seekins upper and TI lower and I have been considering some sort of gray color since i saw the BCM JACK Carbine...
This looks great, I may go little darker though! Thanks for sharing. |

This thread has inspired me. I'm dropping off the parts for my wife's AR at the Cerakoter's this afternoon for some Tungsten love!
Knowing my luck, the kiddo will see her Mom's AR looking dapper and want to paint her gun too.
