My builds - a retro lineup at the Spring 2018 Tennessee Military Collectors' Show.
The AR-10s were built on lowers machined from billet; the M16s were all built with period parts on 80% lowers from Nodak. Model 01, M16, XM16E1, Colt M16A1, GM HYDRAMATIC M16A1, M16A2, FN M16A2, Colt M16A4, Colt M4. (H&R is in progress; 602 will be the last one.) The one at the end on the bipod is a real Army MTU National Match upper on an 80% Nodak A1 lower machined like the MTU example shown in TBR. On the end table in the background are displays of all issued types/vendors of M16 magazines, all the M7 bayonets including FZR and all the M9 bayonets including the Buck > and the USMC version. Just finished this up last night
80 lower Stripped upper completed with Aero kit ALG v2 10” 10.3 BA hanson barrel 75/25% mix burnt bronze,graphite black cerakote SBPDW brace ALG ACT K2+ grip BCM KAG mlok DD fixed sights PA advanced micro |

Lot of places low on barrels these days. I used a 10.3 BA Hanson on the build i posted higher on this page. Happy with it so far.

I have assembled a bunch of lowers, but had never built an upper from scratch until now. It started several months ago with a desire for an 18" rifle, put together sort of on the cheap, and influenced by something I saw in the saw/read (which I can't remember now) in the AIM Surplus forum. The lower is a spare that's been sitting in the safe unused for a while. The stock, grip, and RISR were takeoff leftovers. All of the other components were acquired from the EE or various retailers during the bigger holiday sales. So...
Ballistic Advantage upper receiver & nitride gas tube. AIM Surplus 18" SPR barrel. Geissele nitride gas block VG6 Gamma 556 brake. ALG 15" EMR V3 M-LOK handguard. AIM Surplus H4 nitride BGG. Geissele charging handle. Magpul MBUS Pro sights. Tactical Innovations lower receiver. Geissele SD-C trigger. AIM Surplus safety, bolt catch, mag. catch button. Magpul K2 grip, and CTR w/ LaRue RISR. Vortex Spitfire 3x on an ADM QD mount. 
I shot it for the first time yesterday, mostly just to see if it would function okay. It ran perfectly, and seemed accurate; albeit on a 25yd. range. I couldn't be happier with how it came together, and now I have a notion to take back apart for some Cerakote work. |

Here is my #4 sure is addicting
Anderson stripped lower Aero upper 14.5” barrel pin and welded Some magpul stuff Cerakote from a local guy here in Hawaii he did a great job Was kind of a budget build other than the cerakote last minute so I’m Not planning on using anything other than the buis. |

Aero Precision M4E1 receivers, Atlas S-ONE handguard, UPK, LPK, buffer kit, charging handle Ballistic Advantage BCG, and 16", 5.56, mid-length gas, hanson profile barrel Magpul BUIS, and MOE stock and grip ALG QMS trigger Vortex Strikefire II red dot random A2 flash hider from Brownells Thinking of putting an ambidextrous safety on it.

I'm wanting to finish another upper I have, one of the A1 style with shell deflector (C7?) that I want to do up similar to those BHD clones guys have. |
