My second FULL build up. I wanted a KISS rifle... enough to train/fight with and nothing more.
All said and done this rifle came in at 5 pound 13 oz (Empty with no mag and without the Surefire X300u pictured). Build Specs: Upper Noveske Upper Vltor MUR Noveske NSR 13.5" NSR Noveske BCG Faxon 16" Pencil Barrel Faxon ultralight .062" gas block Battle Comp 1.0 Brownells melonite gas tube (mid length) Noveske marked BCM Gunfighter CH Daniel Defense fixed sight set BCM Keymod rail covers BCM Keymod QD sling mount Lower Noveske Gen 1 forged lower CMMG LPK CMC 3.5# flat trigger (friggen' sweet!) Magpul MOE grip Magpul MOE trigger guard Magpul CTR stock Magpul BAD lever Noveske QD end plate Tubbs Flatwire buffer spring Carbine buffer (Brownells) So light. So handy. The lightweight trend is awesome. 
I have added a Primary Arms Micro Red dot and I have a strike industries Curved foregrip in bound. I'll update the pics when it is "done."

This RRA A4 CAR 9mm I built myself (except the upper half) way back in 2006 and it was my 3rd AR build. My assembly went smooth without any issues, except the fit of the upper to the lower was very tight at first typical of RRA receivers. I had some random stoppages during the first 200 rounds but after that it had been very reliable, the fit of the upper to the lower receiver also got loose and easier to open. I had recently changed the furniture, it had the Magpul MOE grip and MOE buttstock before. Parts list: RRA factory complete A4 carbine upper half with 9mm bolt and charging handle Daniel Defense EZ CAR 7.0 drop-in rails (no longer in production) Magpul XTM rail panels Surefire G2 light with Viking Tactics light mount GG&G Tactical SFG-1 short vertical grip Magpul original MBUS1 rear sight Hahn Precision mag block (also have a VM Hy-Tech mag block for my Uzi mags) Stag Arms ambi selector RRA lower parts kit RRA 9mm buffer and carbine spring BCM mil-spec size 6 position buffer tube Magpul MOE trigger guard Magpul SL grip Magpul SL-K buttstock Specter Gear MOUT single point sling (adapter shown) Colt 32 rd 9mm mag (I also have some older tested C Products SS mags) |

Geissele G2S Very calm, 52 degrees, 1030 am, clear day Rifle rested on an Assault pack/ruck sack from a wood bench. Couldn’t go prone that day too many shooters on the line. @ 100yds and in I do pretty good with a red dot. I don’t see the “movement” that you see in a scope. I turn the brightness down to where I can barely see the dot. Colt LE6920 complete lower Geissele G2S trigger Magpul CTR Ergo grip Aero Precision upper Colt BCG BCM CH Daniel Denfense RIS II FSP rail Colt Socom barrel Griffin nt4 flash hider Thank you for the kind words. |

I'm not a clone guy, so this is my xm177/GAU "inspired" build and I'm happy with it. Aluminum stock and barrel assembly from Tony's Customs. Very clean, discreet pin and weld, I was impressed. 604 NDS upper and partial fence NDS lower, both sourced from the EE. CH and ejection port door are simply modern but grey, from Eagle Outfitters. The mag may be the only Colt part in the entire thing. Flat slip ring, receiver extension ring and grip could be too I suppose, all old style and quite used. All EE sourced. I did throw in a spare LaRue MBT I had since I'm not going for clone and love those triggers. She functions great, so I'm still at 100% with my from-the-ground-up assemblies. 
I have some refinishing to do, but my garage is not heated so that needs to wait for a warmer season.

This one was a throw together build from some left over parts after I revamped a couple guns. The lower is a poverty pony with dpms lpk, upper is an aero with a 16" psa barrel and yhm 10" diamond rail. Inside is a toolcraft bcg (not in picture) and psa big latch ch. The barrel was a left over from my sopmod when I went from 16 to 14.5, and the lower was a leftover from my mk12 when I switched over to an a1 lower. Now I'm working on making it a block ii with 12" ris ii but here's the process to how she sits right now...
