Hey, joined the AR community recently. Purchased a DPMS about a little over a month ago and never looked back!
Friend who got me into the AR purchased me an Eotech 512 and it is by far the coolest thing I have seen. Headed to the range tomorrow to begin playing with it. As for my "build," I was messing around with Photoshop and the idea came across to illustrate my setup, PIXEL by PIXEL. Took about 5 hours or so, but turned out pretty well. Looks just like my setup, carbine w/ Eotech. http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee187/Contagion2012/DPMSwWASPEotech512.gif I now have a few other parts done. I'm looking to see what all I want to do to my current rifle, and the 'weapon profiler' was missing quite a few things. I will try to work on some signature style avatars with these also. BTW, I might be interested in illustrating some setups, or potential builds for a couple of other folks if interested. First come first served though, as they take a while. Who knows, this might turn out to be something to look into as future income to put towards my rifle!

Here is my actual setup.
DPMS lower. Not sure how to tell what the upper is. I did buy them as separate pieces, but the upper looks pretty nice. M4 feeds in the upper as well as the barrel. WASP barrel, not too sure how that will compare to chrome in the long run, but we'll see. Eotech 512, xmas gift from friend. Wife would have killed me had I bought it!

Not my first AR, but my first "build". BCM 16" midlength upper (w/BCM FA BCG and LMT charging handle) atop a CMMG lower, CMT/Stag LPK, Magpul MOE stock (on milspec RE from BCM) & MOE grip, Magpul enhanced trigger guard.

20'' AR15 Standard Rifle Kit
5.56 NATO, Chrome moly, 1:9 twist, A2 flashider, A3 Upper Receiver with forward assist, YHM removable rear sight, Front sight base w/std front sight, Standard bolt & carrier, Standard charging handle, Round A2 hand guard, LE buttstock, Standard A2 grip Black, Stag Lower Additional Furniture: C2 Buttstock, Pink Carbine hand guard, Pink A2 hand guard, Pink A2 Pistol grip, Pink Tactical CAR Buttstock, Pink (Pink furniture from CavArms) AR-15 A2 Buttstock Completer Kit (replacement for LE Buttstock) RRA 6-POS Tactical CAR Buttstock Assembly This was a generic 20” AR-15 build, the lower parts kit was Stag I think, don’t remember the bag markings, except it was a white paper/foil bag. Built it and tested to ensure proper operation, then cleaned and oiled and installed Pink Furniture and wrapped it up for a Christmas present to my wife. She liked the pink and the balance with the C2 Buttstock. Hated the 20” barrel and didn’t care too much for the carbine buttstock, so now I have to wait for 16” barrels to get back in stock! Photo note: Carbine stock attached to stripped Lower only for form fit and function. Looking forward to building the two other lowers into a rifle using the existing 20” upper and a 16” mid-length (maybe). Only gripe was the scope mounting, must go out and get either ½” riser or taller rings.

Two more pieces of the puzzle arrived today... milspec CTR, and the milspec buffer kit. I ordered my 16" barrel assembly a month ago, due to the current panic buying it looks like it will be springtime before I'll be sending rounds downrange... freak'n Obama.

Version 1:
This was a Bushy 1/7 barrel I built in Apr 2005 into a complete upper. It had a canted front sight which I never called and complained to Bushmaster about. I always planned on ditching the front sight block and replacing with a PRI or YHM anyway, but over time, the canted OEM block pissed me off and I hardly took it out to shoot. It only took me three, almost four years.
