Which gun? The colt is only a 6920LE receiver for now and all Colt parts.  Going to put the 6921 upper on it with a 10" barrel. Handguards are gonna be the Colt double heat shield.  Not doin aftermarket free floats or anything on it.  Pretty much all Colt on that one.  The shorty above it...now that is a mut gun.....Bushmaster, VLTOR, Noveske, Troy etc......

I thought I would share a pic of my babies. With the exception of #'s 2 & 5, I built each and every one them.  From Left to Right they are:

1.  DoubleStar Lower (Registed as a Pistol) with a 16" Mid-Length Del-Ton Upper. Will be adding a Magpul CRT stock as soon as they become available again.
2.  Bushmaster 16" A2 Carbine (my very first AR)
3.  DoubleStar Lower (Register SBR) with a 11.5" Del-Ton Upper. This upper was on the pistol until Form 1 was approved.
4.  DoubleStar Lower with a 16"  Mid-Length Del-Ton Upper.
5.  Colt SP1 Built in 1979 Preban in SWEET Condition. Was a SAFE-QUEEN when I got it, but I've taken very good care of it.
6.  DoubleStar Lower with a 20" A2 Del-Ton Upper.  Along with #1, was completed on 12/5/08.
7.  DPMS Lower with a Eagle Firearms A3 Flat-Top Upper. VERY accurate rifle and its my favorite.

You can also notice from the pic, that I am partial to the Houge Grip. I like the way it feels in my hand.

Unfortunately, its just a cheap LEAPERS scope (4-16X50). I have plans on getting a nicer set of optics,  just have to build up the funds again.  Most likely next summer.

I want to get a Eotech & ACOG as well.

I have one more lower receiver to build up and I plan on putting the MAGPUL sniper stock, a NIGHTFORCE scope and a Nice 24" bull barrel.  I want to be able to hit a 4" target at about 500-600 yards.

This is addictive.  This is the 3rd build that I've done.  Well, actually the 5th.

Just finished this one today.  Actually this one is an evolution of a 20" build.  It evolved into a much more practical carbine setup.

Lauer Custom stripped lower
CMMG A1 upper receiver with their bolt carrier, and bolt
CMMG LPK
RRA commercial but stock
Bushmaster 14.5" 1/7 chrome lined M4 barrel
Yankee Hill Phantom Flash Suppressor that my Brother helped me permanently attach
Jard 3.5 lb single stage trigger
KNS anti rotation pins
DPMS ambi selector
Upper and Lower finished in Dura Coat's Tactical Gray/Green

I'll get a better picture of it up tomorrow.

Just thought I would share my new addition. I had the receiver laying around for a couple of years (bought it real cheap). I figured that I should build it up just in case and I have always wanted a lightweight. Upper and lower are Mega Machine stock is Ace full length and barrel is lightweight profile with a Phantom flash hider.

Yes it is a cheap ol Leapers Gen 5 3-9x40. It gets the job done. Its one I just happened to have laying around already. Sighted it in and it works just fine. Not sure I will change it anytime soon. I am working on building another rifle and may choose something a little more expensive the next time around. I do like it and it did not cost more than the rifle.

Not exactly sure why AK Zeke gave a reply to the question???? Seems a bit strange.

My upper finally came yesterday.  So, it's all done, except for the EOTech- unemployment struck before I could buy that.

I tried to take all of the lessons and knowledge I've acquired by using the M-16/M-4 family in combat, and apply them to the "perfect" AR-15.  This thing fits me like a glove.

Specs:
High Standard lower receiver
Tactical Duostock on universal buffer tube with standard CAR buffer and spring
CMMG 14.5" M4A1 SOCOM upper
1/7" twist, chrome lined MedCon barrel chambered for 5.56mm NATO, "F" marked FSB
EGRESS bolt system
Phantom 5C2 compensator/flash suppressor
Polished and extended M4 feedramps
KZ Tactical aluminum front grip with light rail and waterproof storage
Midwest Industries BUIS
Vltor endplate/sling attachment
CowTown Shooters HK-style one point sling w/ quick disconnect

It works well up close, Holds zero and is bright and easy to see. On the down side the dot is more of a squigle than a round dot and it freaking huge. Out past 75 yards or so it starts to cover a large portion of the target. For shooting center mass it's fine, but your not going to win any awards with it.

Not quite complete, but should be SOON. I've got a BCM middy upper going on top but I'm waiting for a few more parts to show up. I'll post the completed rifle here after I get her done.

And for those of you curious, yes, she is sadly CA neutered (compliant). Bullet button and 10 round blocked mags.

here's my first build
RRA lower $155 was a little disappointed in the quality their was nicks on the butt stock threads and the serial numbers were not stamped fully. It still functions fine though.
the rest of the kit was from M&A $570 then optics and magazine bring the total damage to just under a grand. I bought a couple of weeks before the elections.
