I'm looking into building my first AR, i have friends here locally who have ALL the tools needed to do so and can give me a hand through the process.

I was looking at striped uppers and found one that had an option for an 'M4' Cut Upper. is there any differnce between the M4 Cut Uppers and a Standard? and if so what is the differnce? i was thinking of building a Dizzy and not using a M4 barrel if i dont need to.

If you use a upper reciever with M4 ramps cut in it you must use a barrel with M4 ramps as well.  You can use a barrel with M4 ramps with a standard upper and be fine.  You cant do it the other way.

Good Luck!
