I'm doing research on building my first AR-15 and I'd like to build a varmint version.  I've been looking around the web and in Shotgun News for ideas. I really like the looks of the J & T Distributing 24" Match kit with the Badger triangular forend and fluted barrel.  Has anyone here built a rifle from this kit?  If so, how did you like the kit?  Did the finished rifle live up to expectations?

thanks,  Paul

I just built one about a month ago. Great quality and very accurate. The kit was shipped quickly and well packed. I will be doing more business with them and have no reservations on recommending their kit.

Thanks for the reply.  Did you go with a 1:8 or 1:10 twist?  Can you give me an idea of how accurate your build is?

thanks again,  Paul

I went 1 in 8. So far the worst ammo is Silver Bear and it shoots about 2" at 100 yards. I've had 2 or 3 different lots of ammo go under 1" so I'm pretty happy so far. I've got a good trigger on the way and am hoping for decent weather. It shoots the Winchester USA bulk pack 45gr hollow point real well. It is definately a heavy gun, but not unbearable.
