Got my duracoat starter today. I'm not particularly thrilled with the quality and continuity of the Duracoat DVD.

anyone know of a good post/thread detailing the steps?

just follow the written instructions that came with the can, pretty simple. i wouldnt mess with templates.

I agree the DVD is horrible, if your doing a mirage pattern look at the instruction contained in the duracoat book, mix duracoat in accordance with the sheet they supply with each bottle and it should work out fine.

The best thing I found if your using an airbrush is to buy a small compressor and ditch the canned air.

Thanks all for the replies.

I;m only doing single color. Got the $49 starter kit.

NO camo...

I'm actually going to practice on an airsoft SIG P226 and AR-15

Later, if I'm pleased with the results, I'll move on to a real AK and CZ-75

just follow the mixing directions, and thin it, and spray in light coats. and degrease well. remember that trick with the propellant if not using a compressor. let it cure for about a week.
