I want to build an A-1 lightweight carbine with a collapsible stock to use for police work.

I would appreciate help in locating vendor/suppliers of the items neccesary to build it.

If possible complete upper and lower assemblies as I have never built an AR before but if cheaper or the only way, I guess that is the way I'll go.

I think a A1 upper with a CMMG lightweight 14.7" Bbl with a perm. A2 and CAR handguards would make a good lightweight upper. This plus a 20rd mag and CAR buttstock will gve you a real lightweight platform.
