Thanks to my new friends at Eagle Firearms, Legal Transfers, and all you fine folks here on AR15.com, I've successfully completed my first build. I'm very happy with the ease of assembly and the final price. High speed, low drag all the way!

RRA receiver set
RRA 15" M4 chrome-lined barrel with permanently installed A2 (16" OAL)
Surefire M73 handguards with KAC grip
First generation Aimpoint Comp C
Modified Eagle sling (two point attachment)

I added a few more goodies as you can see and also removed the standard sling attachments at the buttstock and barrel. In my opinion a minor weight reduction, possible snag point elimination, and noise reduction.

I highly recommend a build to anyone considering it for the first time

BTW, see how nicely ARMS and LaRue seem to get along!

The cost was well below a complete rifle;

RRA upper and lower combo = $196 @ Eagle Firearms
RRA Barrel = $189 @ Legal Transfers
DPMS LPK = $48 @ RB Precision
RRA Buttstock = $65 @ Eagle Firearms
RRA Bolt and charging handle = $140 @ Eagle Firearms

That's $638 plus some S&H and before the extra goodies, BUIS, and optic.
