Just wondering if a cheap toaster from wall mart will work on my small parts or do I need to use a big gas oven?

+1 Anything that can get over 300 will work. But like he said, buy an external thermometer. The ones in the ovens are usually WAY off. And if you cook it at 290 for 1hr when you go to clean the gun you'll have a rag of gunkote.

Yes it will , Goodwill, Salvation Army, and similar used goods store usually have them pretty cheap, and that way you can keep it dedicated to projects.

Yes, they work fine. I bought mine from my next door neighbor's yard sale for $2. It works fine. Use an oven thermometer to know where the real temp will be to the settings on the knob.

Yup! That'll do fine.
