Finally got this sucker together.  Man...I wish I had built a middy earlier.  Love the balance of this rifle.  Also wish I had bought the tools to put my own stuff together sooner....this is kinda fun.

I like the ladder on the Larue Eotech mount.  It adds a little color balance to rifle by spreading out the color.

Nice Rifle, I like the selection of parts sweet combo.
Just 1 question though, is the HG cap behind the FSB needed for that HG set up or did you leave it  to keep brush & such out?
I put together a middy, more budget minded though with a Giffman bbl and was going to leave the cap with a YHM LW, but left it out. Looks good.

Nope, the cap isn't needed.  I did leave it on to basically cover up the big hole a bit.  Looks a little better too in my opinion.

And the receivers don't match because I'm in one of those liberal sissy states that force us to buy old, used, preban lowers in order to build a rifle with an adjustable stock.    But it's a rifle so who cares right?  Still annoying as hell that I can't go buy a nice new lower.  Just going to have to wear the hell out of the upper so it matches!
