Next question...  Is the take down pin tapered in a RRA parts kit and reciever?  I can push it in almost all the way, but it stops at what looks like a thickened area about 4 mm from being fully seated?  Any suggestions?  Is the pin supposed to be that way?

Thanks,
Shawn

No AR takedown pins or associated holes in the receiver are tapered.  Perhaps the milled slot and detent holes are mislocated causing the T.D. pin to stop before it's fully seated.  Remove your buttstock, detent spring and detent pin.  Insert the T.D pin into the receiver.  Does it go in all the way?  If so, then your T.D. pin is probably out of spec and needs to be replaced.

Thanks, it will go into the hole on the other side ok, just stops at the bulge near the pin head.  So, me thinks it's an out o' spec pin.  (much cheaper than out o' spec reciever)  :)
