I have a preban colt lower and I want to use an M16 carrier. The M16 carrier not having the cut interfers with the block over safety.  Can I safely remove the block and how?  Thanx!

Johhnytac,
I wouldn't do that if I where you! The reason Colt put in that block is to keep anyone from installing a DIAS, or m16 sear to convert a AR15 to selective fire. While it's been said that having an M-16 bolt carrier alone, may or may not, be a violation of this, I think if the ATF saw that you had modified, or removed the block from the lower receiver, and were using a M-16 carrier, this might justify the whole "constructive intent" issue. Just my 2 cents.[B)]
