before i start savng my money towards an 11 1/2" 9mm upper from any place such as M&A i need to know if theres a chance in hell i could get one for my pre ban pistol. they say for LEO and MG's only , well it would be legal on a pistol and ive bought a pistol kit for my other pistol with no problems. Just wondering if this would be doable without being hassled for SOT or C2?

Go ahead and try to order the thing. If they say anything, offer to e-mail a pic of the side of the lower if it does indeed ID it as being a pistol, or see if they will accept a XEROX of the lowers' roll stamping.
