Okay, this is the opposite question to one posted here the other day. The front sling swivel on my M4 is really anoying me...how do I remove the pin hold it in? It's mushroomed on the one side...can I just drive it out from that side, and then mash the end back if I ever need to re-install it? Thanks for the help!

You can drive it out from the smaller side (where it is "mushroomed"). Just use a small punch, keeping the tip of the punch in the center and give it a couple light taps. It helps to have the upper against something firm (and not metal!) A wood workbench works well, or a gunsmithing block. You won't be able to reuse the pin, but they are pretty cheap and Bushmaster sells them. I've installed a few from BM, work great, look like original when installed. hth - MournSword

thanks...got it...it put up more of a fight than I thought it would. My model 1 kit used a roll pin to hold the swivel...I wonder why RRA uses that mushroomed one?
