Does anyone have a broken lower? I just need the area around the fire control, no mag well or buffer tube part. Or know of a jig that I can mount the fire control group so I can do (attempt) a trigger job? I know its cheaper just to get a RRA NM trigger group but I just want to see what I can do and like doing thing myself. Thanks...

I think JT might have one from Skagnak06's "build". http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=161587&w=searchPop

Hey just a suggestion before you go out and spend an arm and a leg on a de-milled lower. But it really wouldn't be that hard to make one using an AR lower blueprint. I'de think with all the people successfully building 80%, it could be made of seperate pieces and bolted together, or could be easily made out of a single piece of metal. You may not have the equipment to do it, but a machinist could probably whip it out with out much problem. Hell, even paying a machine shop might be cheaper than buying a de-milled lower.

It might be better to drill a thick plate to mount the trigger group pins so you can see the sides and bottom of your work. Anyone with a mill can drill the several holes accurately. Hm. Good idea. use a 3/8" plate, about 4" x 6". Drill two holes for the trigger and hammer, one for the safety, one forward to catch the hammer when it is released, and another hole underneath to hold the hammer spring in place. 5 holes, 5 pins. Sounds easy to me. I would strongly suggest doing this instead.
