The Ace website hints that their cool boomtube stock may not be "postban legal", and DSA is saying it's preban only...

BUT IT LOOKS SO COOL.

Can somebody clue me up on what it would take to make this thing legal? I mean, if you can pin an adjustable carbine stock, couldn't I adjust the stock to length (which I think mean "hack saw") and cant (twist) then poprivet and locktite the thing in place?

But hey, how is it that any different from an Ironstone stock or adjustable buttpad stock, except for the extra $ and extra parts?

So... does anyone know, or can anyone point me to the ATF rules on what exactly IS  a preban adjustable length buttstock?

What would it take to stay legal but get the clean look?

It's something to do with that it is too easily adjustable to not meet the BATFE's non-adjustable stock definition.

No, no... I have it in my mind to make a mini space gun, but I hope to not shell out the bucks for a Whitley or Ironstone. (oh, anyone have one used? I'm interested.)
