I am currently building my first AR15. I got to the bolt catch, but the spring and buffer are stuck in their little hole. Is there any way to free them?

Try warming it up with a hair dryer or heat gun and use a magnet.

Hey... it might work!

I took it to American Spirit Arms (right down the street) and they used a drill press. Apparently it was an out of spec buffer from Model 1.

Heya,
I did this too when test fitting the parts. Any other suggestions other than drilling the pin out? It kind of makes me think there ought to be a 1mm hole on the back side of this pin to aid disassembly...
