i would like to adjust the trigger on my bush a2 for a lighter pull.  is it possible? or do i need to get a new trigger assembly?  fyi, far from being a gunsmith but i'm certain i can follow detailed instructions.  thanks.

I used to this to tune the trigger on my Bushy and the results were outstanding.

Two things:

1) The web page that hosted the two illustrations is down.  Maybe someone has those on their hard drive?

2) I didn't need to tap out the safety on my Bushmaster; the trigger group came out easily without going through that step.

I think these are the pics you're looking for. Hell, that aint right, I "know" these are the pics you're looking for. I've done this mod on a couple of rifles and it works well. Quick and easy.

First pic - Hammer spring modification;

When disassembling the fire control group, if you'll remove the hammer first, then the safety switch, and finaly, the trigger, you won't have to "tap out" the safety. To reassemble, simply reverse the procedure.
