I noticed this when I got this in the mail "new" from Arisaka. The connector in the cap appears to be bent. Is this normal? The light switch works but I'm concerned if this actually Is a damaged product and that it might fail on me prematurely.

I want to say I remember having one that looked like that as well and it may be normal. But you could try calling surefire and emailing that photo to them.

I've had ones with bent/crooked springs before, didn't affect function.
You can e-mail SF to see what's up, but I wouldn't worry about it. |

Honestly, I wouldn't be too worried at all. I have switches and battery springs that have been bent worse than that but as long as they still extend the necessary distance to be squished once screwed into place and make solid contact, they're good to go.
