so our unit went to fire night m4 qual the other night- and it was a disaster.  we were looking at conflicting TMs, nobody actually could find any real information about how to zero these lasers, and all of the NCO's were just going off of 'bro science' knowledge.  We had a very hard time hitting targets under nods because of it.  Can someone no shit, no bs tell me the offset between IR laser point of impact and bullet point of impact at 25m for these 3 lasers?  For instance- if i put a piece of glint tape at 25m, shined my peq15 on the glint tape, and pulled the trigger, where should the bullets strike in relation to the glint tape?  BTW looking for a parallel 200m zero- not a intersecting zero.  Thanks!

easiest (for me), was go out at dusk, get prone.  use laser bore site on target.  turn on PEQ, have someone stand over you and instruct them to adjust until you are spot on with your offset (depending on where your PEQ is mounted).  I've done this it at 50Y and seems to work just for human sized targets (large steel silhouette) out to maybe 100Y, which is as far as I've tried it.  Worked for me, but YMMV

Tell NCO or armorer to call TNVC and pick up some of these:

A parallel zero is actually more accurate since the widest point to the apex will never be greater than 1.5". Using a parallel zero has wider margin for error since being slightly off will continue to widen the further you are from the target.

The quickest/easiest intersecting zero is at dusk over lap your visible red laser to your CCO (red dot) at the furthest target you can see your laser. If possible do the same at night over lapping your IR laser to your CCO with your NODs either weapons or helmet mounted . Your hold overs/unders will be the same as your CCO/red dot. I use a 50/200 so all my shots will never be more than 1.5" high or low out to 220 yards and hold overs for everything else. Just an FYI both Steiner and L3/Eotech both recommend using a positive loading method on the vertical/horizontal adjustments. Basicly if you need to move your dot counter clockwise 2 you would go back 10 and forward 8. Going clockwise you do not need to positively load the adjusters.

For Parallel, non intersecting zero, this is 100% the way to go.
