Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - How much rail needed for the VTAC light mount?

I was hoping to get away with using the MI MCTAR 02 on the top of my M4 handguards to mount it, and not having to go with tho longer 4 inch MCTAR 03.

The mount is 1 1/2 inches and mounts on the 2 inch rail section.  (on the V_TAC modular rail)  It covers 4 ribs.  Nice mount, very versatile.
Looks like the MCTAR 02 might work, but it will be a close fit.

The VTAC light mount is a great mount and very solid. It should mount just fine on that rail.
