Surefire Z2 mounted PICS please!

I'm trying to decide on a Vltor Scout Mount, or the Daniel Defense for my Surefire Z2, any one have pics of that setup? Are there any other good, metal low profile/weight mounts?

Technically neither, you have to position the mount over the rear of the light and you only have a very narrower section to work with. Both the Vltor & Dan. Def. mount are going to be wider than needed and not the best bite. I would recommend a standard Weaver ring for mounting the Z2 and then if you want to offset ituse a YHM single slot angle mount (pic).

I don't think you are going to find alot of people with Z2's mounted on their AR's. The Z2 makes it a little harder to mount because of the cut out in the body so most people use the Z2 as a personal light and use either a weapon mounted light or turn a G2 into a weapon light. You might be better off going that route instead.

As a temporary fix I had mounted a Z3 in a Viking Tactical mount and it worked until I got my weapons grade light. Had the Z32 bezel installed for recoil protection.
