I want a simple, tough light that puts out blinding amounts of light. I have a little LED light for use in the car and checking equipment, but I need something with some horsepower.

I like the E2D, but I don't like the low light output. Can anything be done to those for more lumens? I do want something with about a 1 hour run time though.

I would suggest the Surefire 9P model.

They come with a standard 105 lumen lamp assy.(P90) that gives about an hour of run time. There is an optional High Output Lamp Assy.(P91) available which produces 200 lumens for about 20 minutes. The "wall of light" it can produce is very impressive.

Is this going on a weapon? If so I would get a SF Z32 shock isolated bezel for it.

I built my own E-series weapon lights that have shock isolated bezels with click or tape switch tailcaps. I personally like the small size of these lights and their reduced weights. They come in 6V a 9V configurations.

actually, I've been looking at the 9p a lot more as well.

Grant, your website says your are sold out, do you know when you'll get more in?

It's not going on my AR right now, but it might eventually.

No, not yet. A company showed me some interesting turbo heads for an LED so I think I am going to wait and see about those.
