Does it look like one standard 1" weaver ring will fit on this??

The front portion of the rail shown is machined away to a slightly lower height, decreasing support for a standard ring.  Several I tried would "rock" unless really tightened down hard.  This rail is mainly for their small light to mount upon.  A wider clamp like the SL QD light mount does seem to hold well.

The rail included with the Streamlight TR Rifle Illumination kit maintains the same plane all along its top rail surface.  ANY ring will fit it.  HTH.

I guess in that case I will stick with my original plan to mount my light to the front site
